 No, it isn't a trailer.  I have one of those trailer hitches that has the
 square tongue that will slide in and out.  The carrier slides into it and
 is secured with a pin.

I'm sure there is, but I'll have to look.  I'll try to remember to get back

The front wheel rides in a track on the carrier and the rear wheels drop
into a small indention.  There is a crossbar that goes across it just behind
the handle bars to keep it from rolling around.
Again, I apologize for my poor descriptions.  I'm not a handyman type of guy
and just don't know the names for all this stuff.
