I did a migrate...Ver 1.0 to 1.2 and got a "previous desktop".
I then did a drag and drop from previous desktop to the current
for those apps that did not exist in current.

After checking that out as OK for a couple of weeks, I then
deleted the previous DT.  All was well.  I think I did a checkini
after that just to clean things up.

It might be a good Idea to have a full BU of the boot partition
just to be safe before starting this process.

Just my experience.
