I have been trying out the ssh server and if I use an unknown username and
password it takes me to the logon where I can create a user account so
the guest account is unnecessary. An unknown user will be asked if they would
like to create an account.

Yep, that's the way it works. I did create a guest account without posting
privileges to the network areas so folks can look around the BBS before
deciding if they want to have their own account, but it's not needed.

I just created a user "Guest" with the same password and set the
various ACS
strings accordingly. You could use any username you like.
