So the solution Rick provided is what I wanted. Now all I have to do on the GotFocus event is set the global variable which contain the name of the control, and I can then use my common routine to do all the little things that I was doing individually to each control. Then to "finalize" the logic, instead of having to do the text1.text = myInkFunction() for each textbox, i just do WhichTextBox = myInkFunction() once on the SEND button, rather than having to determine which one I send to. thanks for the help, John --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXPost V1.14 at BBSWORLD * Info{at}bbsworld.com --- * RIMEGate(tm)V10.2áÿ* RelayNet(tm) NNTP Gateway * MoonDog BBS * RgateImp.MoonDog.BBS at 2/25/04 2:52:09 PM* Origin: MoonDog BBS, Brooklyn,NY, 718 692-2498, 1:278/230 (1:278/230) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 278/230 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
