Believe it or not, I HAD thought of creating a file of 2-field records (it
was the only obvious thing I could think of in WP51DOS that seemed likely to
work), but was unable to figure out how to tell WP how to make use of it in
its directory listings. I found 2 more books on WP51 since posting my query,
and they didn't have anything about directory aliases either.
Anyhow, I downloaded your answer and tried the method you described. It
does work. Thanks!
