Compare C and assembler for the 80x86
Compare Java and assembler for the same
There isn't much more CPU specific than asm, and it's the fastest. Unless
the compiler is VERY inteligent, nothing from any language can compile to
be as good as a raw asm program.

If they called it by the correct name from the start, no-one would know
what was going on. They would have called it Win97 to get everyone's
attention.
