subject: Drive throughs

I recently tested the "bike friendliness" of a drive through window at a
newly built gas bar/restaurant/convenience store near me. I was heading
home and was hungry for a meal and noticed this newly rebuild gas bar
had a drive through and decided to give it a try. What made the test a
bit more interesting was that this was at night, and all that one might
have seen of me was my big bright headlight. I stopped next to the
speaker, and quickly heard a voice requesting my order ( bingo - I knew
I had successfully triggered the detector ). After placing my order, I
rode up the the window and the server was quite surprised to see a
cyclists waiting to pick up the order. He in fact said I was the first
to not have to knock on the window to get their attention. Needless to
say, rode home with my chicken dinner!
