KK>ME>BS>ME>The infinite anything is already illogical and undefined if
thought of
KK>ME>BS>ME>as an actuality instead of as a potential.
KK>ME>BS> It is not necessarily undefined, but can be defined in many ways.
KK>ME>BS>And infinity is anything *but* illogical.
KK>ME>Logic is the art of noncontradictory identification. To speak of the
KK>ME>"infinite" is to speak of something beyond measurement. Measurement is
KK>ME>the relation or effect of one thing to or upon others. If something
KK>ME>cannot be measured it has no relation and no effect to or on anything
KK>ME>else, which is another way of saying it does not exist.
KK>Wrong. Plain wrong. Under the rules of scientific methodology,
KK>you cannot talk about anything unless you can measure it in a way
KK>that can be repeated. If something cannot be measured, that
KK>does not mean it exists or does not exist; it means you have
KK>nothing to say about it.
Oh, I have plenty to say about things which cannot be measured in any
way, and so does science... Or do you simply have nothing to say about
the existence of a substance known as Phlogiston? Or nothing to say
about a prehistoric race known as Piltdown Man?
KK>To claim
KK>ME>something exists which does not exist is quite illogical.
KK>Word games, pure and simple.
No, not word games-- straight logic from straight facts. Refute the
logic, or refute the facts... Or admit the truth of it.
The only other choice is to go mad in a mass of contradictions. But
that's what tenure's made of these days!
Not to trust, but to know,
