-AH> 1090 AM, WBAL. There may also be a station closer to the
-AH> Philly area on the Orioles radio network. *adh*
I might be mistaken, but I believe WBAL is on AudioNet, so if you have
a 'net connection and a sound card, you should be able to get that
station anywhere in the world.
I sometimes listen to XETRA, an all-sports station on the 'net
which has its studios in San Diego and its transmitter in TJ.
Called in one night, and on the air, the host indicated that I
wasn't the furthest caller -- they had a guy call in from Australia the week
before.
A lot of baseball is found on clear channel stations -- Detroit (WJR), New
York Mets (WFAN), Yankees (WABC or WCBS?), Cincinnati (WLW), Baltimore (WBAL)
-- you can get all of these in the Boston
area. In fact, in some parts of New England, it is easier to
get those stations than it is to find the Red Sox as their
flagship is the sometimes irritating WEEI - its 50 Kw signal damped
down by directional antennas. We can get it here in Haverhill, but
if you go 20 miles north the signal fades rapidly.
