Why malpractice?
As far as a coverup which you infered, I think not, it is too high profile a 
n incident to disappear. LEOS will see it for years in training.along with 
[pssible changes in tring,policcies and perocedures.  Lockbpxes may be 
lowered and other remedial and traing/cleaning procedures instituted.
ALWAYS the first step to solving a problem s to admi it exists.
