Hurrah!  Marie,
        I have been absent from this echo for a while, been very busy 
working.:)  I have three children and yes, they do have alcholism in there 
genes.   Their dad had a drinking problem.  Why does one have ADHD and not 
the others.  Alcoholism is a completely different animal.  I don't know why 
some keep insisting there is a link.  I agree very much with you.  If this is 
the case, this person should quote sources and official statistics.  Which I 
have seen none of in any of my journals.  You know what?  I work in a OB/GYN 
clinic right now.  With a highly respected medical center.  I am going to ask 
the genetic's counselor the next time I run into her if she ever heard of 
such a thing. :)
