Which oddly enough the germans learnt from in that they found their
magnetic/sticky bombs wouldn't stick which is how come they ended up
roughening their tanks with zimmerit.

Yup But it was Stalingrad where the Red airforce achieved tactical
dominance thus dooming the 6th army.
