Kurt is correct again. There are no pins in any type of computer disk. (hard,
fixed, floppy, whatever. [redundant, yes, but to get my point accross])
There is no proof of a reliable hardware destroying program.
(The moniter stuff is not reliable at all, it only works on certain moniters
and so cannot be called a true hardware destroying program. It would be like
saying you can find the 'i' and 'd' keys without looking, but need to look
for all the other keys, and then say you can type. Also, the hard disk
pattern causing it to break is not reliable, as it will be noticed by all but
the most stupid user, and I don't think it is possible anyway!)
