You are right, safety  in manufacturing new safeties into firearms is and is 
part of evolution. A part/system fails often enough , $awarded, contracts 
lost and improvements/corrections made in design and safety traububg. Anyone 
that thinks Glock didn't have a team on scene to investigate immediately is 
not very realistic. In my experience there ias NO Doubt that inservice 
firearms traibning will include this scenario.
