Hang on...exactly what picture have you been given in the US?

Hizbollah engaged in a military action against some Israeli soldiers &
took some prisoner. Israel then sent n missiles & bombs, Hezbollah then
responded.

So exactly who is "responding to missile attacks"?

BTW there is a fair deal of dispute wrt where those Israeli soldiers even
were when they were taken prisoner. Most of the reports placed them inside
Southern Lebanon.

But....hey let's not get into that coz it would basically imply that there
was an Israeli incursion (as they have done frequently) which went wrong
& soldiers were killed & captured, to which Israel responded with
missiles & bombs, to which hezbollah responded with missiles, with
which Israel responded with a much bigger incursion.

Suddenly the only country with a cassus Belli is Lebanon. but that would
clash with the "pre-arranged provocation" which Israel & the
US clearly agreed to.

It's a pity the Israelis didn't site a radio station near the border so
they could dress up as Hezbollah & "invade" it.
