That is strange, but it does remind me that I've had strange behavior and
lockups from Bink before that were cured by re-extracting the EXEs from the
distribution archive again.  Like my missing DOC file...that too is run
across the network from a shared drive and is entitled to hiccup once in a
while during 15 years of around-the-clock execution.

Study those docs for the event flags' behavior in the "enhanced"
flavors, because that is an area where the follow-on authors tend to monkey
around a bit.
