Who said "demilitarized"? Militarism is a state of mind/politics.

If there is a question, the mil is the answer becomes a common problem for
countries which beat those they were not "supposed" to beat. An
example is Japan prior to 45 when they beat the Russians in the early part
of the century, the Chinese etc so....need more resources...the mil is the
answer....have a problem with neighbors...the mil is the answer....have an
internal security problem...the mil is the answer....



WRT the large number of Arabs, it was the case that most of the Gulf Arabs,
the Saudis, Yemenis etc not to mention the Jordanians & Egyptians had
reconciled themselves to an Israel. Now that is dissipating as it is
becoming ever more clear that they are simply a Western colony & not a
middle eastern/levantine state at all.

Personally I blame Netanyahu as when he came into power the Arabs were
saying "OK let's just get some equality for the Palestinians &
that will happen...." & then Netenyahu basically killed Oslo by
going hell for leather building new settlements.
