 SH> Dashiel Hammett.
ST> Our Mystery reading group a the store is reading "The Thin Man" for
ST> our January meeting. I am looking forward to it, as I have never read
 ST> any of his work.
There were several movies, decades ago, featuring a detective called "The
Thin Man." I wonder if it was the same character. I also remember a radio
detective who was called "The Fat Man." The intro was "he tips the scales
at 250 lbs, his fortune DANGER!" or something like that anyway--it was
awhile ago.
