DD>While tripping merrily through the mail, Tor Harrington was overheard
DD> TH> o Elvis 45 LP, this was `taken' from me, but I'm curious as to what
DD> TH> it might of been worth. I don't know the song, but the record was
DD> TH> red instead of the usual black.
DD>What song it was makes a BIG difference. First off, I'm assuming it
I would imagaine so, but it was "given/taken" so long ago and so quickly I
never had a chance to remeber the title.
DD>was a 45, NOT an LP? ("LP's" were the 10-12" 33 1/3rpm discs).
My mistake, you are correct, it was a smaller 45 record and not the larger
33 1/3 LP type.
DD>If it was "Moody Blue / She Thinks I still Care", RCA PB10857, we're
DD>talking $400 - $ 1000 in VG to NM (very Good to Near Mint) condition,
DD>in "Good" condition (no skips, looks nice, no tears or writing or stickers
DD>on the lable, surface noise not distracting) you'd still be at a couple
DD>hundred.
DD>If it was "Guitar Man / Faded Love", RCA PB12158 it was worth $ 40 - $ 150
DD>VG to NM, "Good" condition maybe $ 10 $ 25, but ONLY if it was a
DD>promotional "DeeJay" copy.
DD>Any other titles, it was probably either a "bootleg" or an import, worth
DD>a couple of bucks. (Other red vinyl singles may exist, but the two
mentioned
DD>above are the only ones generally acknowledged as "collectable".)
Thanks Don,
Tor
