The "Duck and Cover" was for the initial shock wave, the
assumption = being that there wouldn't be time to get to a more substantial
shelter = before it hit. If one survived that, there was an additional,
sturdier, = shelter in the basement of the schools that I attended that had
survival = provisions. Would it made a difference? Probably not, but just =
mentioning "Duck and Cover" is too simplistic.
