   Oh, I don't think it would matter, it would just make the loop
   execute slower :)

 Stupid machines that hang with

    cli
    x:
    jmp x

 will hang just as well with

   x:
   cli
   jmp x

 and machines capable of interrupt virtualization or equiped with
 watchdog timers will suffer from neither...

  It doesn't matter if you clear interrupts only once or many times,
  interrupts still won't get generated, and this lack of interrupts will
  cause the watchdog timer to eventually kick in.

  On machines capable of interrupt virtualization it is a non-issue,
  since interrupts don't really get disabled at the lowest hardware
  level... it is just that this particular VDM won't be notified by OS/2.
