[ Quoting Greg Cobb to Scott Little ]
GC> There are others for OS/2 as well. Sytos, Backmaster and Dualstor are
GC> 3 more I can think of.
Yes, but the point is, I don't have to try so many for Win95, since producers
of Win95 software know that the software will hit a much larger range of
people than OS2 versions, and therefore include support for most types of
standard drives.
GC> Nope. You made the argument. You were talking about OS/2 TBU
GC> software not supporting as many drives, etc. AFAIK, Win 95 supported
GC> Colorado and that's all.
I wouldn't use MS-Backup if my life depended on it. If you think Win95 itself
is crap, just try using those little 'freebies' like backup and
yperTerminal.
And HyperTerminal wasn't even written by MS!
-> Me?! Since you know so much about hypertext, you probably have an
nternet
-> account. Go have a little surf over to www.w3c.com and have a read.
GC> It looks like you're saying OS/2 doesn't have HTML editors.
No, I have at least five of them. I'm saying that they are either 2.0 editors
with limited v3 or 3.2 tags, or they are text editors on steroids.
I can handle a text editor on steroids, but none of them come with a help/
text file that lists and supplys the syntax of all the HTML3+ tags.
The editor I use for Win95 has the majority of tags in pulldown menus, which
just leave the data fields blank for me to fill in. Everything else (eg.
frames) is either in the help file, or there is some kind of wizard or form
for me to fill in which creates the desired output (which I can change).
WYSIWYG is just plain painful to use.

- Scott
