I'm aware of MSDOS.SYS being a flat file instead of a binary. This is
another method, does the same thing as running TweakUI, just simpler. The
overhead I mentioned is the memory and hard drive space gobbled up by Win95.
There are many files you can delete or simply not install, but you're still
going to have at least 100 meg taken up by Win95. For a multitasking OS,
this is reasonable, but as a single-task DOS I'd say it's a little
outrageous.
If you have the hardware for it, Win95 will run Maximus in style, although
I prefer to run Maximus under OS/2 or DOS.
