It is not really that big a deal, and it is not to prove anything. 
Because of the apps I chose or need to run I run DOS, Win and OS/2.  I 
am currently moving to different versions of all of them.  I don't get 
rid of an OS or app until the new one is in place, and has shown that it 
can take over.  The plan is to have one of each of the three platforms.

So right now the HDD has FreeDOS, 3 installations of DRDOS, Win98SE, 
W2K, W4, eCS1.2 and eCS2.0, plus a mix of app and storage partitions. 
That is on one real primary and one extended.
