The specific problem people are encountering with most of these, and
which isn't often stated in the product description, is the ability to
draw power while the device is charging, because that's typically what
you want from a simple UPS-like thing. Otherwise you might as well get
some lithium cells, an Arduino and a few other bits and pieces, and
make a proper one yourself.
