48. We did it too. I seem to recall that it was in conjunction with sirens
going off throughout the town as well, though I could be combining the two
events in my mind. I do remember well though, on a visit out to the midwest
that one of my relatives friends had a bomb shelter in their cellar
complete with a gasketed hatch entrance, it had an extension cord draped
through the door to charge the battery packs and the television - they used
it as a den while waiting for the fallout :-) I'm somewhat claustrophobic
and remember thinking, "screw that, I'd rather die than be stuck in
that room for more than 10 minutes" :-)
