Not all. But I'd say at least half. Even the ones that do know a lot, don't.

Usually, but not necessarily. I know several people that are quite capable of
installing new hardware, Win95B and whatever, but when it comes to problem
solving, they're stuffed. 'duh... I didn't make a boot disk, I didn't think
I'd need one... '.

You'd be suprised. It'd mainly be the newbies that got caught by the new
"internet easy" type ads. People who buy a computer just to "surf the 'net"
deserve whatever they get.
