It's 18 Mar 97 00:53:24,
We'll return to Stephane Bessette and Tony Langdon's
discussion of Win95 under os/2 ???
TL> Well, not until you run out of memory. ;)
SB> I've never run out of memory since I started using OS/2, over
SB> two years ago (or is it nearly three years ago?).
I've come close, when the disk was almost full at the time. :-) (got
warnings about "low swap space". :-) )
SB> As I said, I haven't played with it much. My needs have been
SB> met for the last 2-3 years; I can do all I need and want to do. So
SB> I have little incentive in using that platform. The only reason why
SB> I installed Win95 is because I'm getting tired of my friends calling
SB> me with a Win95 question/problem, and making them describe what they
SB> see on the screen. Now I have a much better idea of what Win95 is all
SB> about, and it makes that process much easier. Other than that, it
SB> simply takes up space, much like DOS v6.2 and native Windows 3.1 are
SB> doing right now.
Unfortunately, it looks as though I may have to run some form of Windows
(95/NT) soon. :-( There's a few apps whichonly come in those flavours.
I'd like to keep OS/2, but I suspect my major Net machine will get
upgraded to NT 4, and the OS/2 box will become the "specialist services"
box. :-)
Also means I have to dump Linux from the LAN here. :((((((((((((
... Computer: a million morons working at the speed of light.
