This reminded me of something I have also done for years -

 KK> SEND  normal 1:17/0
 KK> SEND  normal 30:100/all
 KK> SEND  normal 30:1000/all
 KK> SEND  normal 1:134/all
 KK> SEND  normal 1:342/1
 KK> SEND  normal 1:134/1 65535/65535 -1/-1

ALL my SEND's and ROUTE's use a flavour of HOLD in ALL cases. Once all of
those are complete, if I then want something to go, I then CHANGE its
flavour. This can help prevent some nasty things happening if you are
runing in a multi-system, multi-tasking environment.
