Actually, they probably do. Quakers (monk parakeets) are illegal in a number
of states, for example. In Wyoming, I have heard that they DO confiscate and
euthanize any quakers they find. In Ohio, quakers MUST be clipped or
pinioned. In Virginia, they must be banded. In New Jersey, they're totally
illegal, but I think there's a grandfather clause since the law is fairly
new. Quakers are also outlawed in California.
I haven't heard of any states banning grey cheeks outright, however.
