-> In case of input and output, it surely is an appalling idea to build -> a class hierarchy to do input/output operations, and the iostream -> syntax with the > operators surely looks nice, but for some -> applications, especially those that make heavy I/O like cryptography -> does, the design of the iostream classes is not suited well. So -> simply don't use them if you find out that they are too slow or do -> not provide the features that you would need. Yeah. I noticed, but in my program, I am having to use istream::get(unsigned char *, int, char) for my file input. I am extracting characters until a NULL character or the number of characters is reached. Kind of a bummer, but I can't figure out how to make my own without the iostream classes. Any help you can give me? -=Dave=- --- PCBoard (R) v15.4 (OS/2) 250 Beta* Origin: Destiny BBS: 1-850-477-1262 (1:3612/333) SEEN-BY: 396/1 632/0 371 633/260 262 267 270 371 635/444 506 728 639/252 SEEN-BY: 670/218 @PATH: 3612/333 360 366/47 3651/9 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
