Well, I've got my new modem. Zoom 28.8 V.FC. It cost AUD$350 landed in
australia, and came thru customs without any duty!

Of course, I won't be connecting it to the PSTN.

P.S. Just as a trial, you understand, I did connect to TML and received my
mail at 1654 CPS. Is this what you'd expect from a modem {at} 14.4?

I have my fossil set to 38400 and FD set to that also. That is the fastest
FD 1.01 will allow. I am in eager anticipation of finding another 28.8
modem to connect to!
