Looks like I am a bit younger than you. The first Pentax I used was a
Spotmatic, but the first one I bought was an MX.

I have a bunch of lenses I used with several MX's, an ME Super and an LX,
but my favourite on the *ist DS is a fast 50mm, which becomes a portrait
lens on the digital camera.

I shoot in raw mainly, so download the files to the OS/2 computer for safe
keeping, and use a Win computer on the network to process them. Of course
if you use the jpg mode you don't need to bother with the Windows at all.
The important thing for me is never to have the files on the Windows PC
alone, as I have experienced the BSOD several times on XP even.

Have fun with the camera Vic!
