->         I was given an HP that was replaced just for the same reason. I
->         intervened in it and then sold it. All that I did was to use
->         very fine emery ( sorry Jay ) paper and ran it over the rubber
->         wheels. They had glazed over with use and lost friction. that

 HP even makes a Roller "Cleanijng" kit for soem of their Ink Jet
printers taht vuses an Abrasiave to take the "Glaze" off. Adn also there
is a "Rubber Renew" product out there on the market that will slow down
the Glaze if uses as part of a Printer PM routine.
I have seen it in the Fry's Stores here in Califronia.
