This might be a generous interpretation, but, hey, I'm a generous guy!
Prices fell moderately during the first hour or so, then gradually
fought back, more or less, to close down modestly. Volume picked up a
bit, to +4% above average. So on the whole it certainly wasn't a good
day, but wasn't a really bad day either.

Just how much more energy this Santa Claus rally has is hard to say.
We've got some short-term traders sitting on a quick 7% profit, if they
aren't leveraged. They're looking forward to Main Street doing its
tax-loss selling providing an excess supply of stock over the next
couple weeks, and a typically tough January. What would YOU do? Me
too. If I were actively buying and selling stocks, that is.

I've gotta keep harping on this. As Master Yoda would say, "If stocks
you buy, sell you must."

Price Vola- Momen- Volume Oscil- Summ.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 10/31/05 S&P: 1207
