1237a58e67bf tech Hello Scott - CA>> My legacy systems are newer, have faster procesors, and CA>> use more than 400k of code just to create this message! SL> They are also more prone to failure (especially if you SL> happen to live inside a nuclear reactor), Who lives inside a nuclear reactor that we both know? SL> cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain, and quicker to program. Do you mean easier to write code for? SL> If your mail software were written to NASA standards and SL> Shuttle limitations, it would be half the size, twice as SL> fast And would've crashed and burned some time ago too. ;-) SL> and cost a few hundred thousand dollars. Hammers cost $1000 at NASA. Just the thought that four XT's are guiding a 178,000 pound flying brick at MACH 25 falling from orbit to land at over 200 mph using 400k of code tickles me to no end. :-) At least we know the opsys isn't Windows or Linux eh? Maybe the new design will use Z80's with only 100k of code or 8080's or ... who can tell? Government contracting must be a real hoot. > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
