Not sure what type of "cleaning" Tom refers to but for the HPs
I am familiar with the only cleaning is to print a combo test
page and cleaning page and then run that page back through
print side up to attract loose toner particles and avoid
smudging. :-) 

I forget right now what two buttons you push to get that page
though. :-\
