THE SHORT RULES OF THE SCANRADIO ECHO

Zero Tolerance Policy Rules - break these rules and you will
be dismissed from the echo without warning:
1.  No personal attacks, period.  Use private NetMail or E-mail.
2.  No moderating, unless you are a Moderator or an Assistant.
    (Do NOT scold, warn, chide, or admonish others, even if they
    seem to have broken the Rules.)  Use private NetMail or E-mail.
2.  No public challenge or dissent with the Moderator or Assistants.

3.  No blatant breaking of or disregard for ANY rule

4.  The topic of the echo is scanners and scanning.  Stay on topic.
    A. DISCUSSION OF CELLULAR RECEPTION AND MONITORING IS OFF TOPIC.
       Discussions of the hardware of cellular and of cellular
       modifications to scanners is on topic.
    B. Religion and politics are off-topic.
    C. Discussions and/or arguments with the Rules are off-topic.
       Use private NetMail or E-mail.
    D. Discussions of moderator actions and decisions are off-topic.
       Use private NetMail or E-mail.
5. NO HANDLES - Real names ONLY.
6. Offensive taglines and origin lines are not allowed.  Furthermore,
   signature, tag, and origin lines combined, are limited to three lines.
7. Thou shalt not be excessively annoying, AND thou shalt not be
   excessively annoyed.
8. COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES AND MESSAGES ARE PROHIBITED except as expressly
   allowed in the formal Rules.  In a word, you must be known to the
   Moderator and to the echo as a business person, technician, engineer,
   software author, etc, before any sort of a commercial message may be
   posted, and then not oftener than once a month.  See the formal Rules
   for what is permissible and what is not.
9. The formal (longer and more verbose) Rules are the final authority.
