*I* should learn to do things more quickly? Why would I need to do that.
I haven't got the same problem you appear to have. If I receive a call
from a telephone salesman/woman, I simply hang up. Now that IS quick if
done correctly. No need for notebooks, calendars, lawyers or any of the
other stuff you need.
