In a message dated 01-15-12, Sean Dennis said to All: Hi Sean, SD>local VA hospital with chest pains. After a heart cath, it was SD>discovered that one of my main arteries is 50% blocked. No SD>medication was prescribed nor a stent put in, just told to get back SD>on my diet,... On the morning of aug. 15th 2008 I got a heart attack and was brought to the local hospital. After a short treatment there I was flown to Uppsala in Sweden, got a stent and two balloon expansions, or was it vice versa, I don't recall anymore. The next day I was brought back to the local hospital and was released back home the day after. I was prescribed some pills for one year and three other sorts for continuous use. I was also prescribed nitro pills that I have never needed but keep carrying every day on my exercise rounds. Everything was paid for by our healthcare system except for a minimal self risk and all medicines (pills) from the local pharmacy are sold at a greatly reduced cost for the rest of my life. Our general retire- ment system pays the difference. Thats where our government taxes went. I did never have any real pains before this occurred, only felt at the top of my stomach - bottom of chest like I was hungry but as the symptom disappeared when I slowed down my exercise I did relate it to the heart. Ever since the treatment I have done my normal biking tours, po”e walking and skiing without any new symptoms. The work related retirement pay arrives monthly to ones bank account from the insurance company that collected a percentage of our wages into a pension fund. The employer collected the payment from our wage and forwarded it to the insurance company.
