This is right. I have an internal US SupraFAXModem 28.8.
It has the same behavior. This Sucks!
I thought all US-Supra have that "feature" ?
Anyway the GErman BZT external Supra disconnects a-a1 b-b1. But i do not
know if if supports Silent Aswer (Plus).

I don't know, but it seems as there is no relais on the Circuit board that
could be use for such things.

Well are ther US-Models that either disconnect the other Phone-socket on the
Modem, or that disconnect the two other pins on the same socket?
