I may have come in late here... but what is wrong with using vmodem to allow
inbound telnet to the system? If you are trying to use text apps with a
straight telnet then the app has to be written to use STDIN and STDOUT. Most
text apps (for speed reasons) don't do this. Most UNIX ports to OS2 however
do this inately as that is a standard UNIX thing.
