Hello Mike and listers,
I just want to add that I too know a number of folks around the country
that became blind as a result of Retinoblastoma, and other types of eye
cancers.  While I did  not see the 20 20 storry we must be allert for not
just what the meedia says about our accomplishments, but the image of
blindness that is presented to the general public.  Such wow and  whail
storries do great harm to us as blind people and we need to put a stop to
such portrayals of us as wonder people.  It's a continuing battle, but one
we can win.
