Well here is another one for ya.  My friend also has an ADHD child who
wants to be homeschooled.  This child is really having problems at school.
He is on Ritalin, which has helped some, but not with all is behavioral
problems. The principal is a real jerk.  He wanted Robbie put in special
ed classes.  I mean full time.  The child is smart and her and I both
feel the child would be better served mainstreamed.  The principal has
threatened to kick Robbie out of school if she would not put him in.
She refused of course.  Robbie knows he has a problem and I believe that
is why he wants to be homeschooled.  He gets along for the most part with
the kids, but his joking with them also has caused alot of problems.  Which
of course, Robbie has not understood yet.  He is 10 I believe.  I think she
should hold off for just a little while until she straighens out the mess
with the first kid.  And in the meantime look at what she wants to do
for Robbie.  As a teacher, just how really difficult is teaching one of these
kids?  Now that is not a joke.  I know my children are ADD and ADHD, but they
were never problems in school and of course I didn't wait for Jeremy to
escalate it either.  Is it really that frustrating that some teachers or
principals are so cruel.  Robbie was also locked in the principals office
one day.  Of course, the principal said it was an accident that the door
somehow got locked.  Should she maybe try to keep the kids in school and
get a parents advocate or under these circumstances would she be doing
everyone a favor and teach them at home?  I just wanted you opinion since
I see you as a very good teacher who seems to really care about kids.  I'm
sure you ran into some of these problems yourself.
