DH¯  Question, what happens if we bomb an Iraqi Germ lab? The
DH¯  understanding I have of such action indicates that not
DH¯  everything would be destroyed, and the possibility exists that
DH¯  the biological agents would be released into the atmosphere. 
DH¯  Anyone care to guess what would happen if our bombing caused
DH¯  such a release and this happened to kill a bunch of Iraqi
DH¯  civilians?
Well, the results are entirely dependant on WHAT we bomb Iraqi CBW
sites with.  If we were to use conventional explosives, your
scenario could become fact in very short order.  The BEST way would
be to hit expected sites with "tuned" nuclear devices.  Dose
EVERYTHING in the area with 10,000+ rads of radiation to kill any
biological weapon they may have while it's still sitting harmlessly
in the container.  HOWEVER, Slick would never use such weapons in a
"first-strike scenario", and besides, Carter put the kabosh on
"neutron bombs" a long, long time ago.  We -=could=- turn out
weapons of this kind in fairly short order in a quantity to use in a
mission or this kind.  However, again, "fairly short order" means
six-months to a year just to get the prototype.  You'd have to add
at least another six-months to a year to get them put on a
"production line".  Then there is another three to six months in
order to train aircrews how to deliver such weapons, handle them,
repair them etc...
The NEXT best way would be the use of fuel/air weapons (aka "The
Poor Man's Nuke).  We could easily incinerate any biological site
using these weapons.  The idea is to render the agents harmless, and
it makes little difference if that is done by radiation or intense
heat/concussion.  The only down-side to using fuel/air bombs is that
in order for them to be really effective, they would have to be used
after a raid using high explosive bombs expose the agents to the
effects of the fuel/air weapons...
