 Christie bores me, period.  I admire her technical skill in creating
 mysteries and providing all the clues the reader needs to solve it, but
 I've never been able to take an interest in her characters, and her
 writing style reminds me of the old joke about the *really* dry
 martini, which you produce by waving the unopened Vermouth bottle over
 the gin in the glass.
