Strange. It worked for me. How recent a version of 4DOS do you
have? I have 4DOS and 4NT installed (running Windows XP). But I
see the {at}files contained in both 4DOS and in 4NT.

From reading that documentation, it sounds as if what you tried should
have worked, and I did a sample test and it worked for me.
Equally strange is the fact from a later message that a for loop using
{at}files did work for you. Is it possible that you have aliased del to
something else? (I alias del to *del /p in order to force prompts as
  the default).

Perhaps you could try the jp support forum if you can access internet.
