That's the beauty of digital photography, no developing costs.

As a mass storage device I would say yes! With my Kodak, I can copy
files from ECS onto the card, then have the camera send them to the
printer dock for printing 4x6 snapshots. It's great your Pentax works
as a MSD so you can just plug it in. I have to pull the card and put it
in a card reader for ECS. The only way I can get ECS to access the
Kodak camera is by networking to a windows computer with the camera
attached to it.
