Hello Bill!

On 01 Jun 94, you said to Anthony May:

BG> Yep, exactly the same here, except mine recognises BUSY after it has
BG> heard just two complete beeps. It also recognises the long single
BG> faulty tone as BUSY as well, after about 3 seconds. I was most
BG> impressed (and still am).

That would be NU tone (Number Unobtainable). It means the number has been
disconnected, not faulty.

As an aside, I have call diversion on my modem line, diverting I/C calls to
my mobile phone. My Zoom recognises this as dial tone perfectly (the dial
tone you get when you have i/c calls diverted is different to normal dial
tone.) HOWEVER, I turned C.D. off for a test, and the Zomm said NO
DIALTONE. So it's not as good as a sportster for recognising Aust. tones.
(It now misses normal DIALTONE and BUSY, it does recognise RING though,
that's why I turned of C.D., to see if it would.)

Sea Ewes are round!
Geoff.
