But the pay phone has to be there, first... and they're getting fewer
and farther apart nowadays.  And if you do find one, it's either been
ransacked for the coins or someone's camped on it all night.  That's one
of the bigger reasons I plunked down for my cellular.   As for hotel
phones, in many places I've been the past few years it's been cheaper to
use my cell phone, roaming and all, than to use the hotel's phones to
stay in touch with home or the office.
